Megan is a property manager for many spaces who lives in San Diego. She currently only has one space that she manages in Seattle but it tends to be very popular. Megan has been working with neu for nearly 3 years. We recently sat down with her to get some insight on why she uses neu.
Here’s what she had to say:
Megan, how did you discover neu?
I have investment properties in Seattle and I live in Los Angeles. My twin brother was managing my short-term rental and was also doing all the cleaning. He did it for about a year and just could not handle it anymore. So I told him, “let’s start looking for a professional cleaning service. So it was actually my twin brother who found you guys via a Google search.
Before joining, what were some of the things that you found most attractive about us?
As somebody who is down in California, I needed somebody that was reliable and consistent. I love the idea that I’m able to tap directly into my Airbnb calendar and then just reliably be there and clean without me having to check in on it. We’re living in a global economy where you can work wherever. With my business, it’s been so nice being able to team up with neu.
Prior to using neu, did you try anything else? If so, what was your experience like?
Well, as someone who has experience being around tech companies and start-ups for the last decade and who runs a rental office/Airbnb, I had really high expectations. My first Airbnb was in San Francisco and Airbnb had a collaborative cleaning service with the Handy app that was connected directly within their platform and to put it simply: it sucked. It was only for the San Francisco market and it didn’t last long, maybe three months because cleaners kept canceling at the last minute and it fell on Airbnb to deal with the customer service side of things. But I got a taste of how convenient having a cleaning service that tapped right into your schedule and provided clean linens was.
So when I heard of neu, it was like, “Oh good! About time!” But again, I’m that millennial that already expects perfection a little earlier than I probably should, but overall I was glad that someone figured this market out.
How would you describe neu to someone who has never heard of us before?
It’s the Uber of cleaning services. I can handle responding to the guests but neu taps into my calendar and they handle the harder things like maintaining and cleaning the unit. It makes my job super easy where I don’t need a property manager for that unit anymore, I just have neu.
What would you say to someone looking to work with neu?
I recommend neu to everyone. I’ve even called some friends to buy properties up in Seattle and turn them into short term rentals and they’re like, “Oh but don’t you need a property manager to handle them?” and I say, “No, I have neu.”
